Q: Does Lensage need an internet connection? A: No. Lensage works fully offline. It makes no network requests.
Q: Why does it ask for my location? A: Location is optional. If granted, it's used only to compute sunrise/sunset and moon-phase times for your exact spot. The data never leaves your device.
Q: Will my settings sync between iPhone and iPad? A: Not currently. We're considering iCloud sync for a future update.
Q: How do I restore my Pro purchase on a new device? A: Open Lensage → Pro screen → "Restore Purchase". Sign in with the same Apple ID you used to buy.
Q: How does the depth-of-field calculator decide what's "in focus"? A: We use the standard Circle of Confusion (CoC) for your selected sensor. The Zeiss formula (sensor diagonal ÷ 1500) gives ≈ 0.029 mm for full frame.
Q: 500 Rule vs NPF Rule — which should I use? A: 500 is loose; NPF is strict. If you'll print large or pixel-peep, use NPF. If you just want a quick estimate, 500 is fine.
Q: The app doesn't show a star in my city — why? A: The Bortle score in your area is probably class 7+. Drive 30–60 minutes from city lights and try again.
